Solid State Energy Storage Lithium Batteries
With a growing demand for stationary energy storage systems (ESS) for use in solar systems, UPS and industrial applications, Juice have released a cost competitive, solid state, LiFePO4, EES Lithium battery that offers significant advantages over conventional Lithium batteries.
Solid State technology uses a solid electrolyte, instead of liquid or polymer gel electrolytes as found in traditional Lithium Ion batteries. This new technology improves the safety, stability, performance and cycle characteristics at high and low temperatures of lithium batteries.
Juice ESS Lithium Batteries are designed for installation into standard 19” cabinets or racks and are ideal for small scale home solar systems, larger commercial solar sites, emergency and back-up power along with a range of industrial applications requiring energy storage.
Communication with the rest of the systems is also straight forward, with communication compatibility with a number of the world’s most common power electronics manufacturers to make system integration as simple as possible. These include communication compatibility with Victron Energy, SMA and Studer. Each battery has its own LCD display showing battery condition, and outputs for RS485 and CAN.
Performance improvements that have also been made include lower temperature increases when under load or charge, thus operating cooler. Big gains in cycle life have also been achieved. Juice ESS Lithium batteries offer 10,000 cycles to 80% DoD!
Batteries are offered as a 48V 100 a/hr module and able to be installed in parallel for larger capacities
